The Monthly Exhale - November 2026
Movement, mindfulness, and a little more joy in everyday life.

A Moment to Exhale
Hi friends! 💚
Fall always reminds me that change can be a beautiful thing. But as the holidays approach and life starts picking up speed, I've been thinking a lot about the importance of slowing down.
Stress has a funny way of showing up in our bodies, sometimes before we even realize we're carrying it. Maybe it's tension in your shoulders, a clenched jaw, or that familiar tightness in your hips. And while we can't always control the chaos around us, we can create little moments of calm within it.
Sometimes that means getting on your mat, settling into a gentle stretch, and giving yourself permission to simply be still. Not to fix anything or force anything, but to listen to what your body needs.
So this month, we're giving our hips a little extra love, making room to breathe, and remembering that finding balance doesn't always mean doing more. Sometimes it means doing a little less. 💚
MOVE OF THE MONTH
Tending to the Hips
I'm loving tending to my hips lately, especially as I start to feel my holiday stress levels creeping in. And in general, we can all use a little more hip love, we sit way too much! But instead of defaulting to a Pidgeon strech, let's give Cow Face Pose another look, but this time, reclined!

Why I love it: This variation gives your outer hips and glutes a lovely stretch, especially in those areas that can feel stiff after a long day of sitting. And by lying on your back, you can let your upper body relax and focus on exploring the movement without worrying about your posture or balance.
Make it work for you: Cross one thigh over the other and draw your knees toward your chest, reaching for your feet or ankles if comfortable. If that feels like too much, hold behind your thighs instead, or simply keep your legs crossed without pulling them in. You can even place a strap around your feet to bring the stretch a little closer without straining.
Take a few slow breaths, soften your shoulders, and remember that you don't need to pull harder to get more out of the pose. Sometimes less really is more. 💚
THINGS I'M LOVING LATELY
Little Joys of the Day
📖 On my bookshelf:
Slouch: Posture Panic in Modern America
☕ My current ritual:
A slower start to low energy mornings: getting dressed, making the bed, then relaxing on top to check my work for the day.
WHAT'S HAPPENING ON THE MAT
A little Sunday morning yoga, anyone?
I've been sharing a fresh yoga practice on YouTube every Sunday morning! Whether you're looking to stretch out, build a little strength, or simply slow things down, there's something for whatever your body needs that day.
Grab your mat, find a little space, and let's move together! 💚

A THOUGHT TO CARRY WITH YOU
"You don't have to do more to deserve a moment of rest."
Until next month, keep moving and keep smiling!
